Maitreya Sangh

Activities:
Maitreya Sangh, Mumbai was established on 1st January 1998 with the view to reform the society i. e. our Buddhist Samaj and strengthen the awareness of Buddhist principles and their practice in the day to day life. Maitreya Sangh is the Buddhist organization setup for the spiritual development and welfare of the Buddhist Samaj. Maitreya Sangh is the first organization in Mumbai which has started a movement of using a Buddha Vihar regularly for the Dhamma preaching, holding prayers and the Dhamma Vandana and discourses on Buddhist way of life. Buddhas teachings and Vipassana: daily, weekly, monthly. Door to door convincing of Dhamma into the blossoming minds of our young children at the continuous process, we keep going and it is prime motive of our movement. To arise Buddhist culture among the people as radical changes, we started various programmes towards that direction. We arrange programmes and unit young and old and give them 22 pledges that Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar gave to society. We specially want to impress these 22 commandments/pledges upon the young formative minds of the grown children. We continuously work upon the awakeness of the society and have introduce intelligent and attractive slogans and issues stickers
